Hippie's Delight

by The Queen of Spades   Oct 30, 2007

Rainbow colors
Upside down
Spinning, spinning
Round and round

War, an answer
But not for me
My feet are bare
My soul is free

Hendrix sounds
Like grace Divine
Like weed wrapped
Up in sweet white wine

Joplin rules like
J. Airplane
I like music in the
psychedelic lane

Crazy drugs keep
Me from being bad
So I roll a J
Or drop a tab

So much crap in this
Life, unfurled
But I'm happy as long
as I'm in my world

Love the topic because this is one of my favorite periods, but the flow was a bit off for me.

This was one of my fave stanza's. Nice work.

I thank you very much for entering the contest.
