Mom's Drunk Again

by Court   Oct 30, 2007

Here you go getting drunk again
You say you're gonna give up..but when?
You've done it so long you can't be saved
You'll find yourself in an early grave.

What kind of parent do you think you are?
Making my wrists be filled with scars,
You say you'll have two but you're out the door,
Off to the store to get some more.

You know it's obvious, something you can't disguise
One minute you're Dr. Jekyll, the next you're Mr. Hyde.
When you're drunk, you take it out on me,
It's not my fault life's a catastrophe.

I try to help, I do my best
But you keep putting your liver to the test
You know when you're drunk, nothing is fine.
So quit for your own life, if not for mine.
