My Rose Bud

One day I found a rose bud
In the road and all alone
It'd been waiting there forever
Until I found it and carried it home

I gave it some fresh water
And I talked to it a while
The i saw it slowly
Start to open up and smile

The love that you gave me
Is like the water, pure and clear
And when I opened up and smiled
It was because of you my dear

Like that rosebud that was in the road
I too felt so alone
But darling in your eyes I knew
That at least I found a home

Our love was very special
That just by walking in the room
You made me feel so very happy
Like that rose that's now in bloom.
