What we have become...

I can't believe my eyes,
i will not believe the media's lies,
Manners are all but gone,
people getting killed on their own lawn,
home invasions on the rise,
children meeting an early demise,
people now have no respect,
anything they don't like: kill or reject,
i hate that i can't do a thing,
but a new perspective i can bring,
our moral selves have almost died,
now its time to turn the tide,
our violent souls: be put to rest,
this is humanity's final test,
right all humanity's wrongs,
until the problem's almost gone,
if we give up and do not try,
then, self-destructive, we will die,
I'll start the struggle to change our ways,
now its your choice to help, or gaze,
as we go against the rest,
we are now starting the test,
drastic changes, we must make,
i hope to god that its not too late,
to change humanity's final fate,
and change what we've become...
