Skin and bones. (those in Africa & Cambodia)

by Maziyah   Oct 31, 2007

We are,
The ones who read
With emotions stirring deep within our hearts.
Able to empathize,
Or are we, simply being introspective?

Enraged, tantrums thrown, hopes vanished unseen,
Just because hindrance occurred.
Some say, they've made through inevitable hardships.
Will our questions outnumber theirs?
We're nothing but turtles in shells.

If I had the opportunity,
I'd enliven and enlighten them.
Because, I'd feel whole,
At the sight of crooked outlines of their lips,
Cracking into smiles and laughter with joy.

Stop!
Prolongation of their suffering should end.
Let us, mitigate their pain.
