The two of us

by rachelle   Oct 31, 2007

We both know how to pretend
that we're doing ok.
We both know how to hide our feelings
day after day.
We both know how
to love each other silently.
We both know how to hurt
inside painfully.
We both know how to love each other
but not say a word.
We both yell out our feelings
yet, we can't be heard.
We've been living the days
regretting what could have been.
We cry to ourselves often
waiting for love to begin.
We both keep well confined
and drown in our realistic dreams.
We always look forward
in seeing each other in our fantasies.
We both hate the world
that we seem to share.
Only because we know
we won't be together.
