Imaginary Friends

by Fran   Oct 31, 2007

Memory is a trickster I know,
But when I was a child and feeling low,
I called on my imaginary friend,
To make me smile and truly send
Those childish fears away.

Your imaginary friend has called
Three times this week,
Though when I answer the
Phone she never speaks,
Yet today I heard her breathing.

You've lost some weight
And dyed your gray,
Does she make you smile,
Brush those blues away?
Well then, I'll just imagine
You are still my friend.

Awww..this is so sad...and yet..men do it all the time and think the other does not notice what is going on.

Because of the wording, which is kept very civil, the pain is somehow felt so much deeper..a really touching write, Fran.

God bless and a happy xmas time:)
