Life

by Men   Oct 31, 2007

Existence is a prison,
In which you can't get out.
No one to listen,
To hear when you shout.

Seeking prey,
It overtakes a soul.
Flooding deep within,
Into every inch that makes one whole.

Strong is good, weak is bad.
Be it false, be it true.
Your mind makes the choice,
And enforces it too.

Leaving naught but a shell,
Base functionality too.
But killing all else,
That was uniquely you.

No worries, for it will go away,
As you lock it deep within your mind.
Learn to love another day,
Let it rest and you will find.

That dark clouds begin to part,
Self-esteem will reappear.
New love will mend the heart,
The constant sadness will disappear.
