Denied

by Men   Oct 31, 2007

To be denied of love's touch,
To be crush by love's voice.
I can not wish for much,
Only to be happy, to rejoice.

No bit of hope is left,
When harsh words are the last things you hear.
The lies and truth that you must sift,
The pain which you cannot bear.

Sad Promises made, never bought.
Price paid, turned out costly.
Though never known how a soul rots -
Must walk into the night softly.

Hurt souls splits with such pain,
Swooned by appeal - when addiction lured.
Trying to fight, to resist, only to fail in vain,
The end approaches, I am sure.

With nothing left, nothing to live for,
Why do I linger in this world?
How come I have to be the one?
Whose heart shatters, why, how come?

Hopelessly bounds by the chain of love,
Life's greatest gift and fate's cruelest curse.
In this bed where my last breath is taken,
I am no more, alone, sad, forsaken.
