I've loved you all along
I barely knew you from the start,
daunted was my lonesome heart
Then i finally knew your name
your age, your thoughts, your feelings, your shame
for many months I hid my feelings
but still your stare could get me reeling
i thought about sharing my thoughts
but i couldn't say it on the spot
and now it's been a couple years
the bad decision rekindled my fears
i went for her, she wasn't worth it
shattered my heart, left no shard or bit
now i know that that mistake
