You talk of her and my heart slows it's beating just a bit
She was your love for more than just a while
We talk about her and i try not to let it show how apprehensive i am
Finally you give up and ask me what i have against her
"I'm afraid she'll take you away from me" i say hoping you don't hear the sadness i have buried within
You give me a hug and hold me close giving me all the reasons i shouldn't worry
But not one word you offer sounds anything like "because i love you more"
