The stars i see when i look up seem
as bright as any.
they shine on me as they do on everyone
yet tonight they seem to be brighter.
as i stare up at them
they seem to be twinkling, blinking and winking
across the ocean and over the land
the same stars are there
watching us all.
our dreams and wishes reach up to them
as we try to make a more perfect life for ourselves and others
on this lanet under the stars.
