Only I can save her!

by Amanda   Nov 1, 2007

Standing alone in the rain.
Each drop slicing my skin.
I can hardly bare the pain.
The rain just might win.

I refuse to allow my legs to give way.
Feeling numb and useless I want to drop.
I just can't, not today.
The beating of my heart is about to stop.

I close my eyes hoping it will all just go away.
I open my eyes and I see a girl barely standing in a rain fall of blades alone.
She tells me to go but I grab her hand and stay.
I tell her if I leave I will bemoan.

I tell her to close her eyes and think of paradise.
As she closes her eyes I carry her out of the rainfall of blades.
Her eyes open...she looks at me and her eyes fill with tears and she cries.
For she is use to grey shades.

I watch as the life rushes back into her soul.
All she wanted was to be loved.
Once again I allow my self to be whole.
No longer will I feel unloved.

The only person who you can truly trust to love, care and be there is yourself.
The question is how many times can you save yourself from ending it all.
So I heal my wounds again all by myself.
I don't know if I'll have the strength to save myself from the next rainfall.
