Him

by Emily   Nov 1, 2007

She lay there waiting to his next words, his next excuse, as she waited for the satisfaction of the pain to leak out of her heart. The tears never hit her skin they where locked inside of her having his next words be more painful than ever. She knew everything he said was a lie; he did not know she knew his secret.

She thought of all the times she waited for him, when he promised he would be there, and never came. All the times he hung up on her, she never knew what he was doing. Her friends could she how much it hurt but they truly did not know how his lies ripped her insides. She could not describe all the things he did to her. She was scared to let them know how much he put her threw. They all only saw the outside of her breaking heart; she did not want there help she wanted them to believe his lies just as she had. He was her only excuse for her breaking heart.

She wondered why she liked him. Maybe it was the way he walked, or his cool shoes. Maybe it was his personality, she truly loved, or how he could never wipe the grin off her face. On the other hand, maybe how adorable he was or his perfect smile that lit up her day. Maybe the way she knew he was going to hurt her.

She could not help to think about him, even though all she wanted to do was to hate him, and delete him from her life, from her time, from her memories. Some how he was always their, and kept pulling her back in. She knew he never cared, never called just to say hi, never listened to her when she was hurt. She was breaking in front of him and he never cared to notice.

He was the first guy she let get to her. He was the first to get under her skin, the first to touch her delicate heart. She let him threw her shell, the shell only few had cracked, he was her first true mistake.
