Life is a Hole

by Brian n Josh   Nov 2, 2007

Life is a hole
That you fall into at birth
The entire time you aspire to get out of that hole
Why?
It's the glimpse of light at the top
Sometimes it feels unreachable
Others it feels like its at the tips of your fingers
But the rain starts
And you fall deeper. and deeper
The light dimmer and dimmer
Running out of air
Gasp
Gasp
You grab the hand reaching for you
Saved
For now.
Fresh air flowing through you
As you die
You float up toward the light
Its so bright. so beautiful. eyes squint
But the tighter you close your eyes,
The brighter the light gets.
You grab the hand.
Get out of the hole
Just as you let out your last breathe of air

This is the 2nd poem Ive read by yourself. Must admit to being well impressed. Well expressed, mood and atmosphere developed effectively throughout the poem. Another excellent poem. 5/5
