Still Blue

I bought some ice cream
and I took a long bath
I put on comedy central
So I could have a few laughs

I fixed my hair so nicely
I even put some perfume
Then I put some music
and danced around my room

I thought all these things
would help get me through
But you're still in my head
and I'm still feeling blue

I hugged my cat so tight
and watched the rain fall
and then I put pictures
around the empty walls

I arranged the whole house
I tried to find something to do
But I spent all night thinking,
just thinking about you.

I ate some more ice cream
to try and change my mood
but nothing can erase the fact
that I'm still feeling blue

I put on my favorite pj's
It seemed to be going fine
But there was still something
just lingering in my mind

My mother called to comfort me
She told me she understood
I lied and said that I'm okay
and hung up as soon as I could

I ran out of my ice cream
it was then that I knew,
that I cannot ignore the pain
so I'm still feeling blue

No ice cream or bubble bath
can change my attitude
cause I finally have realized
I can't ever get over you...
