My Sweet And Dear

by khobo   Nov 3, 2007

You laughed so freely
You spoke to me normally
Still, it worried me.

We talked once a week
You acted like you were fine
Still, it worried me.

Promised to go back
Can't believe how I did not
And so, I worried.

There were accidents
Could foresee this happening
That's why I worried.

I had the right to
To worry and be upset
I was mad at me
For I had been so careless
For the promise was not met.

You will be with me
Always and forever will
This I dedicate
Though you're with me, I miss you
My sweet and dear, I love you.

Once again I think most people can relate to this in their own way. I see it as a case of where you had the oppertunity to prevent something and you never spoke up and made a difference. Great job and very relatable 5/5 GG23

I could feel the emotions coming off my computer screen as I read this. It flowed nicely and I thought it was very touching.

Very nice poem with sheer grief depicted. Your intention is very clear in this piece. I like the way the story flowed from the beginning to the end. Superb!
