Hallows' Eve

by ALEX   Nov 3, 2007

In the deepest of forests,
we've been cast to the side.
The glow from our lanterns
fades, flickers, then dies.

We're still shrouded by light,
from the spectrum of faith.
Pixie orbs float around us,
but they'll leave with the day.

Then we're lost in the darkness,
in the shadows of yore.
The monsters surround us
to settle old scores.

The trees come alive,
the goblins arrive.
All our hopes and our dreams...
simply cast to the side.
