Humanity.

by Fluffy   Nov 3, 2007

Is this dream, so vast within my grasp?
Am I immune to the distraught behind me,
cursed by a miraculous magic? Among me
there are those who never speak from the
heart, but hiss through their pure, white bricks
in caves. Yet, they are the ones who hold my
hand on journey's so distant and poison my
mind with bitter-sweet stories and forged
fairy-tales. I can walk miles, though my fingers
will not unfold, for the colossal yet refined force
of humanity clutches me. Nature is a far calling;
daunting but luring are the thuds my mind is
vulnerable to
obstruct.
One day, and perhaps one day; I shall
open these eyes of a dying emerald and shatter
the hopes of my mother.

    I love this...this is BEAUTIFUL.

So much depth and meaning packed into a relatively short piece, while the imagery you painted throughout created such stunning and vivid visuals for me.

Your flow in this is FLAWLESS, it doesn't falter once. The words just roll right from my tounge.

I LOVE the ending..I certainly didn't see that coming, and it was filled with so much intensity that it hits the reader like a slap in the face.

    Amazing work on this.
