So She Waits For Him

by shadowcat   Nov 4, 2007

So I touch the little box in my pocket,
Knowing he is someone I'll never forget,
Smiling at the thought of our anniversary in June,
Yet scared incase he doesn't come back home soon,
Sitting so still on the stiff black leather chair,
Holding on close to my memory and prayer,
Staring through the glass window to only see mist,
Remembering the times we passionately kissed,
Missing his sweet romantic company ever so much,
Miserable knowing him and I may never again touch,
Craving to be in his embrace once more,
Oh please let him walk in through the open door,
Listening to the serene melody of the breeze,
Wondering if now he is drowning in the seas,
Waiting for the sound of a galloping horse,
Honey please don't leave me with a divorce,
It's hard laying here near the pleading knife,
I don't want to die without him by my side,
This torturing night doesn't seem to end,
Where is my lover, my best friend,
His ignorance is a little too frightening,
As I hold on loosely to this breakable string

This poem was so emotional. I loved every second of reading it. The emotions were so true, and I felt pity for the girl in the poem. So sad. 5/5
