Our First Date

by Bret Higgins   Nov 4, 2007

One time back then,
I'm not sure when,
I looked back on my life.
I ummed and ahhed,
My brain felt scarred,
How did I meet my wife?

T'was one fine day,
Internet play,
I don't remember when.
She told me off,
It made me scoff,
But I knew there and then.

We met one day,
We both said "Hey."
I took her out to eat.
Twas barbeque.
I'd later rue,
She doesn't eat red meat.

In my head, I kept hearing an Irish jig playing in the background. I don't really have any complaints with it, considering I get why you used some of the words you did.

ps. did you really meet her on the web?
