This Wheel

This wheel of life, as some may call it,
Isnt very difficult to understand,
It means life has its ups and downs,
That nothing in life is planned.

Some people think God has planned it for us
Others believe, only you control the switch
At least there is one thing we can all agree on,
This wheel of life is a b****.

It controls "love", along with everything else,
As if true love isn't hard enough to find.
That's what I'm scared of, that wheel of life,
I want you to always be mine.

I crave for the certainty and confidence,
That you will always love me the same way.
That this "love" you keep mentioning,
Will not wash out and leave me astray.

I know better than to get my hopes up,
For I have fear of getting them crushed.
You aren't the first guy I have fallen for,
So I have learned not to expect too much.

For the moment, I am on top of the wheel,
But I know I will not stay there for long.
The wheel will always keep spinning,
Soon Ill be at the bottom and you'll be gone.
