All For Naught.

by Tripp   Nov 4, 2007

R/r/c. I always return the favor.

Breaking the barrier, jumping the wall
opening my eyes and seeing it all
I realize now the density of the emptiness
I follow it now with a passion of relentlessness

Barren wasteland and broken hills
this wonderful life my heart soon kills
You understand not the meaning of this
you comprehend not the reaper's kiss

I lie broken, dying and forsaken
I lie prone, with my heart aching
tears melting from the ice of my eyes
the blueness is leaving and with it your lies

In you I see myself, in myself I see you
in you I see the reality that I wish was not true
reflections of refractions of horrible reality
pervading my thoughts making me think badly

I'm planning this self-imposed disaster
contemplating the results, of this I'm the master
What's the point of trying if in the end we all die
what's the point to bother if all people lie

I see no reason to continue, no reason to stay
I'm burning up this barren wasteland,
because I'm dying today.

Your poem expresses such understanding of ones own frustration.

Once again the flow was great and it was definately poetic. We all get those days where we just don't care anymore, if it all ended right now it wouldn't bother me one bit. Excellent job 5/5 GG23
