Always i will love you

Distantly i loved you and love you i always will,
inside my heart and soul did burn when you first told me of him,
I haven't known him long but theres a connection that runs deep,
die inside i did when i heard those words you did speak,
i smiled and congratulated then wished you all the best,
but jealousy i felt raged and pounded in my chest,
he has the one thing that i always wished for in this world,
thoughts of me and you that were always quite absurd,
they burnt up in my mind and now i know they will never be,
and i hope in years to come you will occasionally still think of me,
for after days, years and many lonely nights,
you will still be forever engraved into my mind,
a hole there will be in which no one shall ever fill
