Runaway

This happens tonight
You've pushed it too far for the last time
I throw some things in a bag
and slide into bed

There I lay, Watching the clock
As it turns twelve i slide out of bed
and sneak out of my room
Tip-toeing down the stairs
Trying so hard not to make a sound

I slide out the back door, and take a fresh breath of air
I'm almost there
I walk out the backyard and down the alleyway
I step out onto the road
and start my new life

The life of the free
