Of white and will (rewritten Nonet)

by EoB   Nov 4, 2007

I do not wear white anymore.
The wealth of the rainbows combined,
in such impossible beauty
I fear to become too entwined.

Lest something in me would stain it
I do not wear white anymore.
I fear what I love is water,
a river leads down to the shore

Stains won't forever be absent,
how naive to think that they will.
I do not wear white anymore,
but long for the touch of it still.

I dare not again touch beauty,
Content, with my will, do I war,
dreaming of nothing, but winter,
I do not wear white anymore.
