You said I mattered
No longer

I'm left standing alone
In the dark
And walking home
To a place I don't know anymore

What a lonely night
The street lights don't shine as bright
You took the life
Right out of me
When you walked away

Now every part of this life
Brings me back there
Like a movie scene
That I've seen a hundred times

I've memorized the lines
But somehow the spot lights
Don't shine
It was all yellow
Until that night

You said I mattered
No longer...

    Wow viola i really love this
    it isn't an average poem about love, it goes deeper than that, i think. It's very mysterious, but yet so clear.
    REALLY GREAT WORK :)
    and i'm sure many people will relate, because of the mystery... Every person who reads it can make up his own mind about it
