Jess and Me

by The Herald   Nov 5, 2007

You and me jess,
we're the best of friends
met you on here,
trying to make amends

for wrongs you didn't do,
for other people's mistakes
because they hurt themselves,
you feel its your duty to pull out the stakes

now that the chat's gone,
your work is done.
no other people will come
none will have fun
or misery and pain
or sadness and grief
but i know you'd've helped them
and given them a kerchief

a pat on the back,
or a game to cheer up,
you always made them feel special,
didn't let them give up

long hours into the night,
you and i we talked
to people round the world,
at nothing you balked

we made a great team,
you and i were the best
but because the chat IS gone,
our skills no more, will they test

This is both a sad and happy poem at the same time. It was really nice of you to write for her though. Someone like her is always good to have around, to help out others and yourself. You wrote this well. The vocab and rhyme was basic, yet it suited this poem. Simple, yet meaningful. Well done.
