So my love, here I am?

by Rebecca   Nov 5, 2007

My love, Patiently you prayed,
In quiet peace,
To our saviour almighty,
For someone special like me,
To restore back the creativity,
Into your life,
A love to bring purity,
Back to where it belonged,
And to complete your heart,
With vibrant refined love,
So my love, here I am?

My love, the odds were against you,
In faith you defeated it all,
With the guidance of,
Our heavenly Father,
Imploring your hopes & desires,
For someone special to love,
Heaven answered your prayer,
Sending to you, myself,
Willing to uphold your spirit,
With empowering strength of love,
So my love, here I am?

My love, your heart was broken,
But still you pushed your pride,
Swiftly to the side,
Confessing your inner emotions,
To our higher God
Suddenly I came along,
With blessing intentions,
To take vital care of your heart,
Healing the painful wounds away,
With the force of my love,
So my love, here I am?

Very nice poem of love, connecting and togetherness.
I think you really wore your heart on your sleave with this poem, it truly lets the reader see into your state of mind. Many people will be able to relate (in different ways) with this poem, just about everyone in a relationship has been in a position just like this.

Love poems can, at times, get soppy sentimental and come across as contrited. You kept that all out of this piece and made it real.

I would have liked to see more imagery used in this piece, you could really have brought it to life with more use of metaphors etc..

Still a really enjoyable poem to read, well thought out and truly heartfelt.

    Nice work.

This was really good. I liked how you said the same thing in a differently beautiful way each time.
