Mended Heart

by abcede   Nov 5, 2007

I tried to be passive and throw up my wall
say, "No men shall pass,"
twas thus did it fall.

The raiders came galloping; burst through my gate
though unwilling, unyielding
they weren't ones to wait.

They came and they came; no ending in sight
till realization
envisioned in Knight!

He held my face and said "Tell them to leave,"
but that was too easy
and hard to believe.

"No, Knight, I need you -- it's you that I missed!"
and swiftly I caved in -
I fell to his kiss.

"No, no, my dear beauty, in no way it's me
I've been here - been with you
it's you that can't see!"

Accepting and knowing; a trifle at best
I knew Knight was right -
still clutched doubtfulness

Again I fell to my blessed love's kiss;
let doubtfulness fly -
the pain in my fist

The broken heart mended - the shards fused; unite!
then was carried away
by my savior, my Knight!
