When you said goodbye
i knew this is what you had to do
not for us but for you
you needed to find out something about yourself
in a way that i couldn't help you do
i knew i had to let you and find your own way
It was so hard
and hurt in ways that were so indescribable
Sometimes goodbyes are the only way to start anew
and there not so easy
Maybe you'll come back to me
Because i have already found the only thing that i need
and i wish i could embrace all of your problems and take them on as my own
so i don't have to see you suffer
but we don't even speak and my pain is too deep
New beginnings aren't so simple
and sometimes goodbyes are the only way
to make everything OK
But it doesn't change the fact that i think about you every single day
I wonder how you are
and what your doing
I want light to shine on you and show you the way in which you want to go
and find peace and harmony
and be happy with yourself and finally complete your soul
can you allow me to pray for this one thing
This is all just for you
This is to whom i love and care for with a passion no one will ever understand
Only he can set himself free
no matter how much i want to help him
You hold the only key to my heart
and i don't want it back
until i know that everything with you
is OK
and your on the right track

I finally understand this whole love thing
When its more then looks
and more then material things
and you care about his health and well being
and his internal safety
thats when you love some one
No matter how much i said i love you and meant it with all of my heart
There was something wrong
it was wrong from the start
nothing to do with me
he was fighting a battle within himself
it was something i could not see
I would give everything i have to make his world good again
It was something i could not fix
and he had to settle it for himself
Sometimes solutions aren't so simple
