I'm drowning here
within the ashes of my childhood
I hit the ground when I fly
my whole life, misunderstood

you say I don't try
but that's all I've done
no one sees these tears
this person I've become

slammed into the earth
my heartbeat grows distant
I can hardly hear the sound
as my dreams hit pavement

casted aside to bleed
I'm alone in this world
Only God can save me

as I'm screaming here
you walk by complaining
taking your life for granted
