A Black Angel

by cowgirlstar26   Nov 6, 2007

Rainclouds dance above the graves
darkness broods among each stone
black rose petals hit the ground
she's not afraid that she's alone

tears trickling down her pale face
blood stained feathers casted down
bruises lay upon her delicate figure
she screams, but there's no sound

her black eyes so lifeless
remaining in eternal agony
condemned to be in the place
immortal, left to bleed

fog sets in at night
as she walks the yard
singing the dead to sleep
looking for a single star

watching over me
she'll remain here forever
unlocking all the secrets
to a life torn and scattered

This is amazing from the first to the last line. The imagery that you created in every stanza is truly breathtaking and vivid- your descriptions made superb atmosphere.
    My favorite stanza is:

    - tears trickling down her pale face
    blood stained feathers casted down
bruises lay upon her delicate figure
she screams, but there's no sound-
    ^^
    Very vivid and effective.

I loved how this started off. The last couple stanzas weren't as strong as the beginning onces. But a really beautiful poem indeed! I enjoyed the read. Keep writing!!! 5/5
