Love Games (collab)

by debbylyn   Nov 6, 2007

Scarlet roses bleed upon thy thorns
Whilst angels adorn halos and horns
The merry-go-round shall never cease
'til the wolf has stolen a lamb's fleece

Naked emotions run wild with joy
Covered only by ulterior's ploy
Hide and seek found nothing but pain
A journey repeated again and again

Posies and promises tickle thy soul
Circles 'round the ribboned pole
Snake eyes hidden, liar's breath
Kiss for luck, kiss of death

Once love's bite a sweet rush telling
Now a heartache's river swelling
Grab the ring discarding shame
All is fair when love's the game

What an excellent collab. I especially love the ending! You guys should do another. It meshes so well, you can't tell it is written by 2 different people.

Wonderful poem. I wish that I could choose my words to be more like the ones you chose. However I typically do not have the patience for that. How long, on average, does it take for you to come up with a poem like this?

Great collab by you and Bob.I love the way you have compared the games with the pain of love.

    I especially liked this stanza.
Excellent job by you both. Imagery and word choices were awesome.
