Paul

by Nae   May 9, 2004

Through all the
pain and hurt,
he could still
find the strength
to smile.

Where did he
find it? What
gave him the power?

It was his faith
who gave it to
him. His unshakable
belief that God
knew best and
that was so.

Remembering,
seeing him sit,
just a pew ahead.
He didn't look pained,
he didn't look hurt.
He had a look
of pure happiness,
for sitting in God's
house just the one
more day.

Now he is gone.
Gone to a better
place. A place
where he dosn't
feel any more pain
or have any more chemo.

He's looking down,
trying to figure
out. Why?

Why are we crying?
Why are we sad?
We should be happy
for he is glad.

One of these days
we will see him
again. When
none of us are in
pain and can rejoice
and to be happy to
see him.

This poem is Dedicated to Paul Brown who died not to long ago.

Awesome poem. This really touched my heart. I've seen more than enough death in my life.

You did a great job with this.
