You are my inspiration, my push toward my dream,
With all your determination, I am now part of a very big team,
United States Marine Corps, here I am,
With all your support, thank you mam.
I am excited about my new life and the place I live,
I have a new family with my wife, and my kids,
Exploring my options seeing what I can do,
My options are endless now thanks to you.
Everyone thinks that you will never use what you have learned outside of school,
But its not just the subjects you learn that is one of lifes many tools,
School is also the first place you succeed to build confidence,
So later on in life you will be the boss holding the conference,
Its up too the individual to keep there head up and keep trucking,
Life will toss many obstacles in your way just remember to keep ducking,
Everyone thinks that they have it bad and it couldn't be worse,
What about the nine year old that just drove by in a Hurst,
I guess what I am trying to say is life is what you want it to be,
You can struggle your whole life or you can keep climbing up the tree,
But you can only be pushed for so long until you find your own pace,
So thank you for helping me find my tree that got me out of that place.
