Peace Dove, Come!

by edbonney   Nov 7, 2007

We were in agony, pain, misery
our bodies were soiled black
Our clothes even breathed pain
Under- trodden by ignorance and
Beaten by strangers in our own land

We sat all day, all night
Years decades and centuries flew by
Strength was country's away
we had nothing to do but to wish them away
Although it was that easy

Then one day the impossible become possible
We were awoken from our daily sleep
By a voice smooth as velvet,
sweet as honey
the voice descended with a light
That shone so bright

When it was all quite again
We realized that all the evil, he darkness, the agony,
Was Gone
Our clothes turned white,
So Pure
A dove flew in the skies,
The peace dove had finally come.
