Chapstick

by sibyllene   Nov 7, 2007

God, I'm
drinking
and thinking in
poetry
now, I'm hungry and
thirsty and
horny and bursting with it,
ha! The poem of my friend's
almost hourly trend, chapstick addicted
smoothing and slathering,
on lips plump but dry,
it's as
ugly as she is lovely, she's an
angel's eyelid, and
practically my wife, I mean we
buy curtains and groceries together,
60 second rice, fabulous! oh, and nice,
I love the strange grotesqueness of
our poor, lavish chapped
existence.

Experiment in near stream-of-consciousness.

This poem has a nice beat to it. Keep it up Angel-headed Hipster!

An experiment that worked I would say. It flows easily and cleverly.

I enjoyed this very much, reminded me in some ways of a Bob Dylan composition. Great writing, Timothy r
