What I've Done - Where I'm Going

I have gazed at the stars in amazement
Been lost in deep thought
I have been at my saddest
Through many battles fought

I have also been very fortunate
To find a love so true
To have such a wonderful loving girl
Stuck so close to me when I’m blue

I have swam in the ocean
Stuck my feet in warm sand
Laid under the sun
And walked hand in hand

I have been caught in the moment
Thinking about dreams and fears
I've tried my best
To fight away her sad, gloomy tears

I have kept many secrets
And trusted her with mine
I’ve stood in the rain
And lost track of time

the years have passed by so quickly
It all seems to fast
I have changed so much
But I hope the good times will last

Its time to figure out where I am going
I need to start now
So I will start with what I already know
and I will go wherever I want to go

I will be active and free
I will meet new people
I will live my dream

I will be happy and unafraid
with hopes that wishes come true
Goals accomplished
Everything will be new

I will go to new places
I will be here and there
Sometimes life will get tough
Sometimes it will get unfair

And through it all,
I see her in my dreams
living her future,
along a life with me.

A girl who is herself
And no one can take that away
She is an individual
who holds my heart, forever and a day.
