Vampyric Lullaby

by A Victim of Fate   Nov 8, 2007

The night is made for sleeping.
But some tales are to be only told in the dead of night.
You look exhausted.
Generations of memories reside in you, sleep.
Sleep sweet dreams little child.
These tales are yours for the keeping.
Only you can see and bring the light.
Smile; give us that bright, glowing smile.
Make the pale blue flowers grow.
But like all humans flowers die too.
No one can see the future yet they know theyâ??ll go some place else.
They avoid it at all costs.
We won't, we'll embrace it with open arms.
Still smile, little one, have no regrets for we have nothing to loose.
Nothing to want.
Give, give, give do not see the greed poisoning the people's eyes.
Darkening them to an empty void of black.
Sing; only those tales you can sing.
They fear the truth of them.
Grow like your flowers, innocent.
Grow then bloom.
Bloom then join me in our paradise.
Join your people, the generations of souls waiting, waiting for you.
Cry for the blood of your kind, the ones who turned against your brothers and sisters.
Your tears like a siren's sweet song, bitter our hearts, bitters our tongue.
Stop; crying will solve everything but stop.
For whence killed us will save us.
The pride in you will not allow you to become who you are.
You live among mortals yet you'll never belong.
Hope; fill the forest with your hope.
Hide your talent from abuse, from greed.
Let tears fall unbidden but never let the ones you love hear.
Never change it, for it is all we can do.
Play along with fate.
Then stab until you smell the coppery scent of blood.

The taste of one's life dripping,
Dripping,
Dripping away.
Bit by bit.
Drink; save the mortals you love.
Keep them as pets.
Dream; anything you want to dream.
The memories come with each battle you face.
Lose a part of yourself each time.
Become the thing you hate, you fight.
Ignore the hunger no longer.
Feed; on the ones you love, feed.
Then curse yourself, kill yourself.
Come to us...finally.
