Drawing

by Viola   Nov 8, 2007

There's something unrealistically glorious at that moment
Because I'm not happy, on the contrary
I'm the saddest I could be
I'm folding and unfolded, and broken in two
Shattered and wilted
But somehow with that pencil in my hand
The world gets unbelievably quiet
As voices scream at me inside my head
But there's only silence around
A controversial experience
Like everything else falls for a moment, or two
And the only thing left is that sheet of white paper
A drawing in front of you
The subtle tones, the dark edges
And the furiously expressed lines
It's all my life, my anger, my pain, my joy
And everything that I am
It's just thrown on to a piece of paper, because I guess
It's the only thing that will listen
And most importantly, the only thing that won't judge back
No matter what you do
There's something about that moment
When everything makes sense
But nothing means a thing

**I don't know how many of you do visual art and can understand what this really is about..but really it's just about that moment when all you're doing is focusing on a drawing..and nothing else.
Art is amazing. It's an incredible way to express your feelings (this includes all art). =]
