Cindy, such a very sad piece but so beautifully written. Though some of our loved ones may not be with us, they will always be with us in our hearts.

    Love and hugs,

    Steve

Cindy this is beautiful....the repetition of the first line in each stanza gives it a haunting melodic quality. All the sadness and emotion emanates from each line.

Cold and gray is the stone
    That sits upon the hill
    Waiting for lovers to reunite
    As destinies fulfilled

^ perfect ending....with a hint of hope without being morose. Bravo! Love, Debbie

This is so sad!! Your flow is excellent and the imagery paints a painful picture.

    Cindy,
I can't express how this made me feel. I cried upon reading it the first two times, came back later and read it a third time. At first there were extremely sad feelings of knowing that we are forced to live this life without the love of our life beside us. Then the third time I read it I felt a peace, because eternity is a lot longer than a lifetime. When our (destiny of joining our loved one is fulfilled it will be ever so worth the wait. No more pain, no sickness, and only the pure love magnified in it's greatness that it was on earth will be even more great in Heaven.
Such a disturbingly beautiful write. My thoughts and prayers are always with you.

When you know a poem has been written from the bottom of someones heart you feel it in your heart too. You are a person who represents strength in their poetry and clearly as a person. I hope you never lose that.

    Take Care.
