Why can't I cry?

Why won't you let me cry?
Why Can't I shed some tears?
Why do I have to smile?
Why can't I be filled with fears?

No matter what happens,
You expect happiness from me,
No matter how bad I'm beaten down,
My pain you don't want to see.

Everyone seems to be,
Aloud to fall apart,
Aloud to feel pain and aguish,
And have a broken heart.

But you expect me to smile,
And be happy all my life,
And not feel pain or heartbreak,
And not be caused strife.

You expect me to shed sunlight,
And chase away the dark,
But it's hard for me to do that,
When I'm branded with evils mark.

The thing that you don't realize,
Is I'll fall apart one day,
I'll be taken from my sanity,
And I'll be locked away.
