The Little Dirt Road

by NightPersonality   Nov 9, 2007

Aimlessly I walk along the little dirt road.
The attractive brown skirt flows restlessly with the wind that hungers for seasons.
The thoughts that race through my mind are wisps of smoke, that fade as quickly as the fog on a window pane.
And I sit down, gracelessly upon the dirt, for the strength within my legs has failed me.
My body is shaking with tears that I cannot shed.
The shadows slowly stretch across the little dirt road; angry, intimidating darkness.
The sun has died, and the warmth has frozen.
My hands desperately reach out for the sun... however, my wish is not granted.
And I am drowned in frigidness,
Burned with shadows,
My heart beats faintly,
And I am still alone.
