Unfinished melancholy

by Naerwen   Nov 9, 2007

I felt a tinge of melancholy,
As a face not familiar to me,
Stare back vacantly and cold,
I can’t recall the day,
I lost the will to forgive,
And for this pledge,
Now must I endure this,
A face I don’t recognize,
Here looking back at me,
Her eyes don’t fill with tears,
Nor light up with joy,
Fear to say could it be,
This being I have now become,
Myself now died with time
