Stranger in the Mirror

by lostsoul13   Nov 9, 2007

Staring into a broken mirror
I don't recognize the face I see there
This girl doesnt care
She wishes she was'nt there
As tears drop down into this sink
This girl is staring back at me
I still don't recognize the face I see
How can this girl with the frown
Be me when I see this girl looking so down?
And I now realize the face in this mirror
Is me after all.
Though, she is a stranger
So it seems
She is me,
And as these tears fall,
This girl's face in the mirror is fading,
And so is mine.
Now I recognize this stranger's face in the mirror
and the stranger's face is mine
After all.

This was such a beautifully penned poem. I loved the entire poem, so much emotion and sadness was reeking from it. Keep up the good work!
