You Can't Blame Me

by FountainsOfBlood   Nov 9, 2007

Mum
Do you remember the time
You came home drunk
You kept falling over
And I had to help to bed?
I suppose you didn't know it was me
Oh, I still remember
But I guess you don't
I guess you don't realize
It affected me

Mum
Do you remember the time
When you held a knife to Dad's throat
Cause he didn't want you to have the phone?
I suppose you didn't see me standing right next to him
Oh, I still remember
But I guess you don't
I guess you didn't realize
It affected me

Mum
Do you remember the time
When you came home from the party
You broke Dad's nose, his shirt was bloody
I suppose you didn't see me crying
Oh, I still remember
But I guess you didn't
I guess you didn't realize
It affected me

Mum
Do you remember the time
When I came home from school
You were cutting your wrists in front of me?
I suppose you didn't hear me scream
Oh, I still remember
But I guess you didn't
I guess you didn't realize
It affected me

Mum
Do you remember the time
You smashed the house up
When you found out Dad was cheating
And I had to go to Aunties?
I suppose you didn't realize I was scared
Oh, I still remember
But I guess you didn't
I guess you didn't realize
It affected me...

So you can't blame me
For what I've become
I only learn from what I see
And what I see...
Well, that's not for me to judge
