Almost Lovers, Always Friends

by Becca   Nov 9, 2007

(I didn't really know if it should go under desired love or secret love, but I could be both I guess.)

The stars are jealous of us
So they try to keep us apart
But I have loved you
From the very start
The girls in your life
They come and go
The guys in mine
They just don't know
With you I feel so free
We are so tight
And when I'm with you
It feeks so right
Our lips get close
Our hearts close in
But something intervenes
Almost lovers, always friends

I see it in your eyes
I know that you want me
But she has you
That's how it's meant to be
The flowers bloom for us
Giving us permission to move
You smile at me
And I just fall for you
It's like music playing
When you hold my hand
I don't care if I'm taken
I'm gonna to make you my man
We are finally alone
Here we go again
You kiss me gently
Almost lovers, always friends

I'm so comfortable with you
And it's so crazy
That it may not work
Between you and me
You know everything about me
Like an open book
And I got you
When everyone misunderstood
How can it be wrong
When it feels so right
To kiss you passionately
And lay in your arms all night
But just like another day
You put it to an end
I sit watching helplessly as you leave
Almost lovers, always friends
