That Lucky Card

by xXMohawkedMahemXx   Nov 9, 2007

He sits there begging
For a spare penny or pound
Clutching a blanket
Staring at the ground

His dog lay beside him
Suffering the same
But once he was alone
And had no one to blame

People Walk past
All healthy and safe
Staring at him like
He was a waste of space

One day his luck was in
He found that lucky card
he picked it up and cried
But he's never cried so hard

Now his luck has changed
One day he does the same
As all those people did
To him when he was in pain

Luck changes... so does the people it happens to...
