Beautiful Lies Kissed My Eyes

by Nigel Oliver   Nov 10, 2007

Azurite skys, beautiful eyes.
I see butterflies, telling bitter sweet lies,
as they fly softly through the falling skies.

I feel innate, so i suffocate.
Since i can't conjugate, that which i subjugate.

All my goals, onced burned like hot coals,
But a moon eclipsed over many souls,
Making me cold, now i have nothing left to hold.

Having nothing left, i felt i should meet death,
So he could take away my very last breath.
Left without a trace, i lost my grace,
I fell into a dark silver embrace.

Wow I like the rhyming, it gives it a playful edge. Over all I really like it.

Oo. i liked the rhyming. very good. i can't rhyme like that yet. i liked whispering this to myself. while i did so, i realized the flow wasn't consistant. maybe shorten some, or whatever seems right to you. just remember that there needs to be rhythm/meters in your poems. it gives more structure. don't worry, my poems don't always have a perfect meter.

That is such a beautiful line, I love the way that it sounds. The poem was very good! You didn't really have a set stanza length, but it was amazing. Keep writing. *5/5*
